2018 BDGA Men's and Women's Individual Championship
Host: Brookfield Country Club
Dates: August 16-18 (Men), August 17-18 (Women)
Entry Fee: $180 (Men), $120 (Women)
Eligibility
This championship is open to male and female amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Membership: Be a member of the BDGA, defined as either belonging to (1) an BDGA member club or (2) the 2018 BDGA Associate Member Program.
- Age: There is no age restriction to participate in this event. Players 50 and over, in addition to the Individual Championship, will compete for the senior title, which will be determined after the first two rounds.
- Handicap Index: There are no Handicap Index requirements.
Divisions and Tees
All male players will compete for the BDGA Men's Individual Championship. The low senior score (age 50 and above) for the first 2 rounds of the event will be the BDGA Senior Individual Champion. BDGA points will be given in both categories. Male golfers will play from the blue tees.
Female golfers will play from the yellow tees.
Format
The format of the men's championship is 54 holes of individual stroke play with a cut after 36 holes while women will play over 36 holes with no cut.
Practice Round
A practice round for the BDGA Championship will be allowed on Monday 8/6 starting at 1:00. Players will be responsible to pay a greens fee and cart fee of $98.50 plus tax. Register with the Brookfield Pro Shop (716-632-2500) and either charge those fees back to their Club or pay by cash/credit card. Once registered - players will be paired with others present to try to fill in foursomes if possible.
Field Size and Qualifying
The field of the men's championship is limited to 60 players. If more than 60 players register, qualifying will be required for non-exempt players. The qualifier, if required, will be held at Niagara Frontier CC on August 4 (tee times begin at 2:00pm).

The following players are exempt from qualifying for the BDGA Individual Championship:
- 2017 BDGA Points List (Top-10)
- 2017 BDGA Finishers (Top-20)
- Previous Winners
- 2018 Winners
- 2018 Exemption List

Pairings
The first round's pairings will be available on Monday, August 13 and will be emailed to all players. If you have a tee time request for the first round (early/late), send your request to Ryan Doyle (rdoyle@nysga.org). Second and third round tee times will be based on score, so tee time requests cannot be accommodated.
Pairing requests will not be accommodated.
Ties
If there is a tie for the winner, a sudden-death will be used unless it is impossible due to darkness or course unavailability. Otherwise, ties will be broken using the USGA method of matching scorecards, which compares the last nine holes (10-18), then last six holes (13-18), last three holes (16-18), and last hole (18).

Golf Carts and Range
Payment for use of golf carts and the range is included in your entry fee. Players may choose to walk if desired.

Prizes and Awards
The champion, runner-up, and low senior will each receive a trophy. Additional top finishers (based on number of entrants) will receive prizes as gift certificates from the pro shop.
Entry Deadline
All entries must be received by the BDGA by 5:00pm on August 2, 2018. Entries will not be accepted if they are late, incomplete, faxed, emailed, or sent without full payment.
Refund Policy
The entry fee will be refunded if a player withdraws prior to the close of entries, less a $10 service fee.
