2018 BDGA Men's Mid-Amateur Championship

Host: Crag Burn Golf Club

Entry Fee: $80

Field Limit: 76 players

Deadline: Tuesday, June 12 at 5:00pm.

 

Eligibility

This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

  • Membership:  Be a member of the BDGA, defined as either belonging to (1) an BDGA member club or (2) the 2018 BDGA Associate Member Program.
  • Age: Entrants must be at least 25 years of age as of June 18, 2018.
  • Handicap Index: There are no Handicap Index requirements.

 

Field Limit

The field is limited to the first 76 players to register. If more than 76 players register, they will be added to a waitlist ordered by their time of entry.

 

Tees

Play will be from the gold tees (6,878 yards, Par 72).

 

Format

The format for this championship is 18 holes of individual stroke play.

 

BDGA Points

This is a BDGA points event and is part of the Oncore Golf Race for the Porter Cup and L&M Financial Race for the Senior Porter Cup. Full points information can be found in the "Points List and Past Results" link on the website

 

Ties

If there is a tie for the winner, a sudden-death will be used unless it is impossible due to darkness or course unavailability. Otherwise, ties will be broken using the USGA method of matching scorecards, which compares the last nine holes (10-18), then last six holes (13-18), last three holes (16-18), and last hole (18).

8:00am.......... Tee times start

 

Cookout After Play

There is a cookout after the round on the Crag Burn patio.

 

Golf Carts and Range

Payment for use of golf carts and the range is included in the entry fee.

 

Prizes and Awards

The champion and runner-up will each receive a trophy. Additional top finishers (based on number of entrants) will receive prizes as gift certificates from the pro shop.

 

Entry Deadline

All entries must be received by the BDGA by 5:00pm on June 12, 2018. Entries will not be accepted if they are late, incomplete, faxed, emailed, or sent without full payment.

 

Cell Phone Usage

Cell phone use is allowed only in the Men's and Ladies' locker rooms. Cell phones should be set on "vibrate" and used only for emergencies on the golf course. Phones should also not be used on the driving range, putting green, patio, or in any of the dinning areas. Members and guests should use extreme discretion and seek out a private setting if a cell phone must be used.

 

Refund Policy

The entry fee will be refunded if a player withdraws prior to the close of entries, less a $20 service fee.
